Self-Defense:
With the tactical traction spike fully extended, the Super Traction SafeTipTM becomes a formidable self-defense weapon. The fact that the tactical traction spike can be shifted from a retracted to a fully-extended position in just a few seconds allows it to be readied for protection of the user with almost no advance warning time.
Because the tactical traction spike, when retracted is: a) not in any way concealed and b)does not appear threatening and c) when deployed, extends only three to four inches beyond the rubber tip, the Super Traction SafeTipTM attachment does not appear to violate weapon laws in any US municipalities that we know of.
This gives walking canes and crutches equipped with the
Super Traction SafeTipTM the exceedingly unusual, for
self-defense oriented "pointy things,"
the privilege of being "street legal" almost anywhere.
Having said that, if the user doesn't know how to wield a "sharp stick," its self-defense properties are largely wasted.

Commonly Encountered Self-Defense Situations:
Because the enablement of effective self defence is an important part of what the Super Traction SafeTipTM offers the owner, we offer the following use case examples and possible responses.
Obviously, in real-life attacks, the attacks and responses will unfold differently ... but ... these examples illustrate how an owner might respond.
Incidentally, notice how, with the tactical traction spike extended, the Super Traction SafeTipTM enabled walking cane or crutch can effectively attack body target regions, like the thigh and foot, that, when attacked unexpectedly, are difficult for the attacker to defend against.
